Description Of Work: I have used this company before, actually a few times over the years, and would and do recommend them to my friends. The gentleman working with wood has got to be one of the best in town. He has repaired an old antique french oak bed in the past, and the repair is invisible!! Ditto with a recent repair to a vintage kitchen chair where the spindles had broken away from the frame ...... cannot see the places where it was broken, it is secure and seamless as I knew it would be. Description Of Work:  Repaired an antique coffee table.

Member Comments:  I was initially referred to Al by a furniture store, after calling lots of places to see if someone could repair a relatively new office swivel chair. He told me up front that he didn't think the chair was reparable even with the new part I had ordered for it. I asked him to fix it anyway. He did for a decent price and with the caveat that it probably wouldn't last. It didn't. But I had been fairly warned and I appreciated his honesty.

Since then, I've taken several items to him, typically little things around the house that have needed fixing, but that I didn't know the type of person to contact to fix them: a child's chair on a new child table set, an antique rocking chair, an antique coffee table, a little wooden rocking chair and probably a few other things that I'm not remembering right now.

He always does a beautiful job at a reasonable price and in good time. I recommend him highly.

We had to take four dining room chairs all to be repaired. Very nice folks and he did a great job. He rebuilt all the seat braces rather than just a temporary fix up and we were very pleased. The repair was done within the time frame he promised. Will definitely use this business again.

Our lever on our sofa recliner broke and we had no idea where to go get a replacement. So I called and he said he had several replacements. Once again, they were helpful and resolved an easy repair.

This is that rare craftsman who concentrates on quality results, first and foremost. Al breathed new life into some teak (TEMA) dining chairs we've had and still enjoy in our original set----and I feel kind of "green" knowing that we weren't consigning the furniture to the dumpster or firewood fuel...and ended up buying some lesser stuff for no good reason.

I'm pleased with the results, and like a prior review, he also braced the seat bottoms to handle the expanding demographic of our dining guests, LOL.

I'd give him the full five stars, but I had hoped the job would have been done a little sooner and communication had been better. Cash or check only....but that's OK;-)
